We have all seen plants like this, most recognised are the common hogweed and cow parsley which look so alike.
How about on a larger scale? lets just say, we hope you do not come across this plant, but if you did happen to please avoid touching as it contains a sap which causes awful skin irritation which then results in blisters and scarring. This plant is known as a phototoxic, which stops the skin from protecting itself from the suns rays hence the skin burns. If you have what looks like Giant Hogweed on your property or land please seek help from a specialist company to eradicate the troublesome plant. If you are out and about and spot this plant in an area enjoyed by families and public, we recommend reporting your concerns to the local council.
